Hello, and welcome back... it has been some time.
I think my last blog post was October 1? That would make it eight and a half months since I was last in here typing. Nevertheless, I am back. There is going to be a change of pace, I was posting daily blogs eight and half months ago, now it will be weekly. Every Sunday will be a sort of recap into the week as well as thoughts that I may have had. It has been a hectic couple of months, most hectic in the last week. Now that I am on my own finding ways to absorb my time I am taking the chance to get back into successful, winning habits.
Without further delay, let me talk about what is going on. I have found a new job, something that can keep money coming in while I try to create other forms of income. The job is sales and pay is commission based which is a big risk for me to take especially considering that I picked up and moved 10 hours away for it. I believe that the risk was calculated though and I believe that this change is one that was necessary for my success.
My reasons for leaving home were simple. I wanted to be responsible for myself, one. Two, I was tired of my previous job at The Home Depot (and was not seeing the growth that I expected and was lead to believe existed). Third and finally, I wanted to get to a location where I could grow, survive and thrive.
If you haven't already guessed where I moved to, it is Charlotte NC. Charlotte was carefully selected and not chosen without extensive research. The South was inevitable because of cheaper living, less taxes and promising growth. Since I am not the only one under this belief I expect there to be a sort of migration of young people like myself from North to South in search of better living.
It is a massive move, to leave everything you know and I was nervous the weeks leading up. However I have soothed those nerves within the first couple days because I am constantly reminding myself that I can do it. I can succeed, I can win down here... something I did not think was possible at home.
I expect that my growth here will be thorough and quick. Along with leaving everything that I know, I left distractions and wasted time in the rearview. My current lease is 3 months long, that way if I don't like anything about it I can retreat and I am not locked in permanently. It also gives me a timeframe for change and change is expected. I am excited to share my journey and experiences with not only this blog, but also my YouTube channel which is Sean Kirgan.
Stay happy, stay humble and aspire to be the best that you can. Until next week.
