"Pessimists calculate the odds. Optimists believe they can overcome them." -Ted Koppel
Winning odds doesn't mean you have a better chance of winning than you do losing. Winning odds means you play your odds as many times as it takes for you to win. 1/100, do it 100 times if that's what it takes to "get lucky". 1/1000, 1/10000...1/10000000 don't give up, keep trying. Eventually you will hit that one, and it may be the only one that you need.
This goes hand in hand with consistency, and not giving up however long it may take. It's apart of the winning mindset, losers lose and quit, winners lose and learn. Another point that I want to hit is just because you have losing odds does not mean you should turn directions to something else it means you should go full steam ahead, and never give up.
Look for something in your life that has losing odds, something that you can get more than once chance at and try over and over until you hit those winning odds... and I am not talking about the lottery, don't throw your money away, be smart about it.
