Smile more

"I love those who can smile in trouble." -Leonardo Da Vinci

The act of smiling lightens the mood around you, and it is one of the easiest facial expressions to form. It's hard to look at someone who is smiling and think that they are either a bad or person, or have a mean feel around them, right? So why are you never smiling, always mean mugging, scaring people away?

Everyone has beautiful smiles in their own unique ways but the key is that they show it. Can't have a beautiful smile if you don't ever smile, just like you can't see your six-pack if you don't eat healthy. It's important to make the people around you smile, but it is even more important to make yourself smile, even if forced. The act of doing so can actually alter your mood to the point where you can face anything.

The hardest thing to do is smile when you are sad, right? Sometimes it feels impossible. If you are able to teach yourself the skill of smiling through sorrow or pain then you will be on a level that no one else is on. The emotional control and stoicism that is required is so difficult to achieve, yet the greatest victory of them all.

I smile at myself every morning, after I shave. I've been doing so for the past couple of months and there is a noticeable difference in both the strength and contagiousness of my smile but also my overall mood. It's hard to anger me now, hard to make me sad, hard to put me down because I just smile and continue forward like life is meant to be.
