"Self micromanagement will teach you, if anything, the importance of checking yourself." -Unknown
No one likes to be micromanaged, well its a good thing that this is not about being micromanaged. This is about being in control of yourself. In control of every aspect of your life. Checking up on yourself and making sure you are completing your goals, making sure you are actively working to get better every day and not doing the bare minimum. This is about being able to make an effective decision on every problem or choice that you face in your life.
The importance of being able to make sure you know every detail of your life and how things are going lies in the fact that it will ground you to stay in your lane and on the right path. I have found that when I lose sight of where I am going and what I want to accomplish I spiral out of control. Well, I have also found that micromanaging my life and being on top of everything is the most effective way of preventing this spiral. Every month, on the first day of the month, I do "inventory" on my life. I check my financials, my health, my fitness, my growth, my learning... everything. I spend a day doing it. And I don't mean dropping everything and doing this, I mean as my day progresses and I complete tasks I check and review the previous month to see if I was effective. I have found this to be very important to what I am trying to do here, and I am sure you will too.
