"Change can be scary, but you know what's scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving and progressing." -Mandy Hale
I enjoy this quote, it embraces everything that being Simply Different is about. As a young kid I used to enjoy being the same as everyone, I thought that liking the popular things in life made me popular, and would get me more friends. Now that I have matured I realize that I couldn't be more wrong, and that being the same, enjoying the same things as everyone doesn't make me popular. It makes me a cookie cutter human, a robot, a sheep.
That is why I have started down this path of being different. Because I don't want to be another Joe Shmo working 1/2 my waking hours, doing the same things as everyone else. I want to be a trail blazer for a new generation of thought and belief, that you can easily create your own success by making life difficult. I want to show people that school, work, death is not the only option you have in life, that you can do other things, that you can be different.
The Journey though, is not easy, it is not at all attractive. I wake up every day doubt and fear of failure, but I fight it and I do so because I have made the end attractive. Would you walk down the easy path for the slightly ripe, good tasting apples. Or would you walk down the dark, windy, uphill path to the greatest tasting apples that you ever had? I know what I am doing.
Change something about your daily routine that is going to improve your day from here on out, preferably something that is difficult to do and maintain. But make the result of this activity one that makes you want to do it everyday rather than a result that makes you resent the activity.
