Control

Control is one six core values that are associated with being Simply Different. You may be wondering what way. Controlling yourself in every way. Thoughts, actions, emotions, the list goes on. You are to become a master of yourself because that closes the door for other people to control you if that makes sense. Control yourself, and no one else can.

Controlling your thoughts is a big topic here because it relates to yesterday's blog. When attempting, you will find it hard a lot harder than you may expect and you will hear yourself almost arguing in your own head about what you want to think. I compare it to cartoons when an angel and a devil are on the shoulders of a character whispering into their ear. You need to command the angel, and push away the devil. Nevertheless, after perhaps months of practicing and taking conscience steps to denounce poor, demeaning thoughts and replacing them with positive ones you will come to understand the importance of controlling your thoughts. Life will seem more happy, more positive and you will have a lot more compliments to give than complaints to voice. The peers around you will notice your increased positivity, and at that point is when you will know the weeks, that you put into changing your thoughts was not a futile act.

Over the next week, really take the time to listen to what your brain is saying instead of your mouth. Take the steps to counteract and bad thoughts you have and replace them with positive ones. Track the differences you feel in your life for a better effect.
